Hi Jason,

VirtualPlanetBuilder is an offline tool for building databases and
this won't change - it won't be for dynamically database management.

For dynamic database management you'll need to look at the runtime
itself, and if you are looking for an OSG role in this then you'll
need an specialist NodeKit to do this.  osgTerrain is a potential base
for this.
