The message was rather light on context, knowing what line number,
file and module the failure occurred at is crucial.

I've just tagged the 2.7.3 dev release, and this contains a number of
build fixes for some of the niche unix platforms, there is chance that
these changes might help you out. In terms of future fixing that you
might submit to get things building under the Borland compilers.

W.r.t CMake and OSG Borland support, you are the first OSG person in
the OSG community that's declared an interest in the use Borland
compilers for a long time, so this puts you a special little niche of
your own (1 out of 2006 member on osg-users in fact;-) My guess is
that CMake usage on Borland is probably at similar percentages, so you
may well not have many others with same tools as you to work and test
on, so if you want the support you'll need to forge this yourself and
get the required changes into respective CMake and OSG releases. Both
the CMake and OSG communities are very active and open to
contributions so this shouldn't offer any additional impediment, but
it does require you to do much of the leg work in terms of testing and
development of workarounds. If you can overcome the hurdle life will
be better for you and other Borland users that might come along later.

The other alternative is to just throw the towl in and use VS or gcc.
