Like everyone else I tend to prefer things that I'm familiar with, so
libxml2 would be a front runner for sure, but if needs take us along
some other route in the future so be it.

I don't have any current plans for integration of XML support into the
core OSG, so don't have an plans with making choices about XML
parsing.  It it comes to the project crossing this particular bridge
then we'll decide on the what to use when we get to it, the software
world can change so much it's not worth putting to much effort into
predicting the little details.
