Perhaps strangely it doesn't bother me much that companies use the OSG without providing the project directly. We do have an abundance of great contributors, with the majority of these working for companies or universities that use the OSG, while this isn't a monetary contribution, it's actually where most of the value of this project lies. The awkward part comes in that while we have great value in our key asset - the source code, we don't have easily scalable systems for paying for overheads of really slick website and dedicated support team. That's the nature of project though.
