Hi Manu, There isn't currently an "osgearth_version" or anything similar yet. At some point when the API for osgEarth becomes more flushed out we'll probably introduce some more strict versioning. I'd just download the latest version and rebuild if you can't remember, it's not too big;)
There should be any issues with applying shaders to osgEarth models, it's just regular OSG code so it should be simliar to working with a VPB database.
