Try .obj instead. I think MAX can import .obj files, and OSG does have support for writing them. That should get you going until the 3ds writer is merged.

It also looks like it's having trouble finding some of the textures. To fix this, just add their paths to the OSGFILEPATH variable:

 set OSGFILEPATH=C:\path\to\texture\files;C:\other\texture\files;...
