Hi Matt, This topic has been covered a number of times of the last year, so it'd be useful for you to visit the archives and do some background reading on the topic.
I would also recommend using the last version of the OSG such as 2.9.6 or svn/trunk as this has some improvements to the way that texture objects are handling when closing and re-opening graphics contexts. This doesn't address all the issues, but the background reading will hopefully point to the rest. Robert.
