Hi Elliott, >From a quick read of your original email I was left unsure what you understood and didn't understand about the various transformations required. Given that it's hard to know what to explain.
The best I can suggest to get that you'll need to get the intersection test in the appropriate coordinate frame of the geometry that it'll be intersecting. The IntesectionVisitor has pretty flexible support for tranforming the intersection tests from one coordinate frame to another - for instance converting from window or eye coordinates to world coordinates is built into the design. See the osgpick example. My guess is that in your case you just need sort what transform you need to apply to get the intersections into world coords. If you are having a problem with getting your head around coordinate transforms as a topic then I can't really teach you, I'm not your maths class teacher. There are plenty of online resources and books about matrix maths and coordinate transformations. Robert.
