You are very welcome to collaborate.  We don't have a specific
forum/mailing list for this work, currently the small team I'm working with
are just exchanging emails directly/having video conference calls.

My current work is on scripting integration and use of this to build the 3D
GUI elements - the idea is to use Lua to create widgets as OSG objects and
then handle events and do actions all from Lua.  Later we'll add support
for other scripting languages.  The work is being checked into OSG
svn/trunk if you want to have a look.
