P.S.
QUAD and QUAD_STRIP are deprecated anyways, since GPUs are essentially triangle processors anyways. So unless you're after a very specific use case, simply triangulate your scene and let the Stripper do its magic.

There is nothing like this in the core. The question is: What would it be usefull for? I guess there wouldn't be much of a performance benefit, so using triangles in the first place and stripping them might be a more ideal solution when you're after performance.
