Well, probably a good facsimile would be the situation for OpenGL ES, which
lacks all of those same features.

We did a bunch of work involving this, writing custom FFP to shader
generators, as well as doing the grunt work of making osgEarth work on
mobile devices (Android and iOS) through OpenGL ES.

I don't think there's specifically a roadmap, but if you have questions
about something in particular, shoot me an email. Are you going to IITSEC?
