Robert, Sebastian, After updating all I could driver-related on my machine with no luck, I ended up upgrading from 3.4.0 to OSG 3.4.1... and that did the trick.
I tried reviewing the change log but I got lost in a 2 years old commits history. So I am not sure what was its cause but problem solved.
