Howdy, everybody, I'd like to kick off a thread dedicated to discussing the migration of OSG to a multiplatform build too. I have seen mention of CMake already in the XCode thread. And I've talked briefly to Mike Wittman about his work on the Win64 build.
I've just joined a startup company and we are evaluating our own Build+Config options for a project using OSG, so the time is right for me to be able to contribute to this. I can begin work on a CMake conversion immediately. So, I'd like to open the floor. Here are a couple questions I have: - Am I jumping the gun with CMake? Should I consider another tool like Boost.Jam (bjam)? I know there are scores of tools out there, but CMake and bjam seem to deliver the best bang for the multiplatform buck. - Where should I post CMake files for testing and consumption? For those interested in the topic, here are some relevant links: - KDE's move from Autotools to CMake http://lwn.net/Articles/188693/ - Cmake http://www.cmake.org/HTML/Index.html - Boost Build http://www.boost.org/tools/build/v1/build_system.htm thanks!
