Marcus, Thanks for the note, but that problem (that Greg Corson found and logged) is now well known, and that's not the trouble i'm experiencing. I can create an object, texture-map it, and the DAE export file contains _no texture_ at all. It fails whether i map the material to the Object or the Mesh, whether i use Orco or UV maps, really no matter what i try in Blender.
However, if i import a textured 3DS object, then export it to DAE, then the output file does contain the texture reference, with only the known <color>+<texture> problem. Sigh. It seems that i'll have to end up sinking many development days or weeks into fixing osgexport, Blender's Collada exporter, and/or OSG's Collada importer, before i see my first successful Blender->OSG transfer. At least this stuff is all open source, so the wonderful opportunity of painfully fixing it myself is available :-) -Ben > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Friday, August 18, 2006 1:57 PM > To: osg users > Subject: RE: [osg-users] Blender to OSG (was COLLADA plugin > forOSGonSourceForge) > > Ben, > > The problem is that Blender output is not quite right yet. > The Blender exporter is creating both a color and a texture > within a material; making them invalid.
