Hi James,

You'll need to search for the texture using a custom NodeVisitor and then get the Image of the texture you want and copy this image across into a new image with the pixel format you want, then save this out to disk,  I'm not sure of the status of suppport for writing floating point image, so you'll need to look at the various implemenations of writeImage in the image plugins, note not all image plugin support write, and the ones which do may well not suppoty float write support so you'd have to add this - if its possible (not all formats support floats).

I want to be able to load a model from disk (probably OpenFlight .flt format), extract one of the textures, modify the values and store them in floating point format. I then want to put this floating point texture back into the node, and render.

How do I go about extracting the texture, the pixel values from the texture and replacing it with a floating point texture?

Thanks,

James
