Well, ok. I believe that we need to improove out local communications here. 
Daniel came in and told me that he also had asked that some time ago ...

To be clear, I work on FlightGear in my spare time. But Daniel 4 other guys 
and I work with osg in our day job too.

... just because I have the impression that I have problems with that ...
... not sure ...
... we also have plain opengl code that might disturb the state too ...
