Joelle: I meant that to be a very tong in check comment. Having grown up and been a part of the church all my life (as a PK, preachers kid and now clergy serving two churches) I am certainly tuned in to the conflict that exists in the church. In fact, my ordination was almost blocked because I was working for Cesar Chavez and the United Farm Workers at the time, (back in the early 70's), which by some was seen as the same as being a communist. It stirred quite a controversay in my home conference in South Dakota.
