Amerie. I do take some issue with you. Our gathering was about as self-organizing as it gets. I didn't have a clue who was coming (except for Dan), what they really wanted to accomplish - or why the hell I should have been there. Of course it was my house, and folks did drop by. We had a ball! Would it have been better had there been some female of the species? Doubtless! But. whatever happens is the only thing that could have. That your meeting with Harrison was not orchestrated using the principles of OST is the only reason that I am not taking umbrage at the non-appearance of females amongst your party. I trust that the principles of self-organisation would never have allowed such a tragedy to occur. Yet alas, when other powers take the reigns and so forth. I don't normally comment on such things, sitting in the luxurious position of post-feminism and all that, but seeing as the space has been opened for the conversation to happen... Kind regards, Amerie - Ms. "...Harrison, I have a question... AND THIS IS IT: Is Open Space Technology SUBVERSIVE to illegitimate authority?" And Harrison, without any hesitation, goes: "(chuckle...) ...Abso-lutely...that's the whole POINT!" Wow. Who likes the idea that OST is designed to subvert illegitimate authority? Who doesn't? Is this subversive quality of OST a bug...or a feature? -- Daniel Mezick Culture Strategist. Author. Keynoter. (203) 915 7248.
