I have also found it helpful to have the date & details of a follow-up meeting (2-3 months after, maybe) worked out before the initial convening, so that folks proposing/working topics for action know they’re working the topic for that period of time, then regrouping for an after-action review and update to their action plans. It seems to help with momentum, even if it is at the last minute before the follow-up. A gentle reminder email to conveners also helps volunteers who otherwise get busy with the rest of life.
