I have 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of disk. Sorry for not getting back to this forum sooner. I have managed to get it running again by removing the last country: Italy, so perhaps there is an error in some of those map files. Another thing I notice is, when I add a map, I see a brief glimpse of an error message saying something about "[some file in the France dataset] is an unrecognised format". Is there a log file for osmand anywhere - or a logging option? The message disappears too quickly for me to note it down.
