Plot a route *from*: Johnsons Road junction with Johnsons lane, Bristol, UK, *to*: Park Crescent (St George), Bristol, UK. For a walking route it will take the path http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/401118674 between the kings head pub and the athletics ground to the toucan crossing at Whitehall road going into Stretford Road. For a cycle route it will take you down Whitehall Gardens and back up Whitehall Road which is less direct and less safe. It doesn't seem to make any difference which settings are used in the navigation options.
