Hi Martin, 

No, don't create a subdirectory for the file, put it in your OsmAnd data 
directory. The same directory where your .obf map files are located. 

There is no existing copy of the file in that directory. It is included in the 
application code, and that version is used UNLESS OsmAnd finds a copy in the 
data directory.
