I have mentioned this already multiple times in the past years and I also mentioned that in "crowded" areas like in cities with many houses and details (POIs, traffic-lights, many patches of greenery, etc.), the roads_only maps render up to 4x faster. simply because of the lacj of uneccessary detail (for car navigation that is). I have measured and shared this several times via the debug plugin. On the Android head unit in my car I only have roads_only maps. They are also 2-5 times smaller.
