Hello, I'm new to Osmand, and have successfully installed the app (Android tablet), and downloaded the world overview map as well as 3 regional maps of China. I am not yet in China, but would like to set some favourite points (e.g., my hotels) in Beijing, and also test some offline walking routes. However, I can't find out how to tell OsmAnd to use my downloaded Beijing map! It keeps trying to use my world overview map!!
On OsmAnd's map list screen, Beijing DOES show as having been downloaded as a standard map (vector), and as being active. I also tried entering an address, starting with the city Beijing, but OsmAnd returns error message "Can not find anything: 50 mi". Which is true--apparently OsmAnd is using my present location on the worldview map, even though I have wifi turned off. I would SO MUCH appreciate any help. I'm not computer-illiterate, but so far OsmAnd is winning in what may turn out to be a knockout.
