Yes, I'm coming to the conclusion that what we consider waypoints in osmand 
(intermediate points) are simply like POI and favorites, only icons with a 
name, but connected to a single track, and not points OF a track, used to 
make a track and calculate distances etc.. as happens in other gps systems
