Are you sure you did a cd to /var/www/ossecwui/ before running setup.sh? Because I followed the instructions from the installation guide and the tmp/ dir was created.
I just had a quick look at the install script and it seems to run a "mkdir tmp" during installation. Enjoy your wui search feature.
