Hello, just joined the forums. I've been implementing OSSEC in my companies network for testing purposes. I setup a few nodes a few months ago, then had to abandon it for something else. Yesterday I was going to restart my testing. I setup two nodes, agent / server basic setup. During the agent install however I kept running into the same error. I saw a few threads like this;

I still get the same error on the agent; "2013/03/06 09:57:17 ossec-config(1230): ERROR: Invalid element in the configuration: 'client'. 2013/03/06 09:57:17 ossec-config(1202): ERROR: Configuration error at '/var/ossec/etc/ossec.conf'. Exiting. 2013/03/06 09:57:17 ossec-agentd(1215): ERROR: No client configured. Exiting. " I thought perhaps this was because of a different version. However I setup a few hosts, 10.04, 11.04, 12.04, and all the agents got the same error. I guess I'll start going through the shell install script myself, but that is immensely tedious. Any assistance or help would be greatly appreciated. I can provide more information as well. Or if the above method suggested before needs to be tweaked.
