restart my testing. I setup two nodes, agent / server basic setup. During
the agent install however I kept running into the same error. I saw a few

setup a few hosts, 10.04, 11.04, 12.04, and all the agents got the same
error. I guess I'll start going through the shell install script myself,
but that is immensely tedious. Any assistance or help would be greatly
appreciated. I can provide more information as well. Or if the above method
suggested before needs to be tweaked.

Did you try running install.sh using a real shell lile bash? Dash is
horrible.

Also, including the ossec.conf might help.
