Actually, I don't see anything wrong with 2). People have been doing it since forever, and it bespeaks a willingness to sacrifice for her daughter. Besides, if she's as strongly anti-abortion as people say, you at least have to give her credit for sticking to her beliefs here. Whose business is it of anyone's if the girl she says is her daughter is actually her granddaughter?
