I won't save *that* much money (c. 300 Euro), because if I was going for a MacBook, I'd definitely take the 2.4 GHz model with 4GB RAM and either the SSD, or the standard disk which I'd replace with a better one (Seagate 7200 rpm for about 100 Euro?). The Ethernet dongle for the Air is good enough for emergencies in shitty hotels, companies. The weight is the thing. Those are about 700g. That and the fact that 2GB RAM is getting a bit slim these days. Wifey has an air and I love it, but I usually only use it to surf, mail and browse the main iPhoto library on the LAN. Those and the fact that my extra viscous treacle experience with the Rev1 MacBook and Office 2008, Outlook over VMWare Fusion and other greedy apps makes me keen on extra GHz and RAM. Tja, mal schauen. _______________________________________________ OSX-Nutters mailing list | [email protected] http://lists.tit-wank.com/mailman/listinfo/osx-nutters List hosted at http://cat5.org/
