I got myself a 2.4GHz MacBook (topped up to 4gb by Apple for an uncharacteristically reasonable price [seriously, I think this is the first time they've priced their RAM competitively]), with the plain 250gb HDD. I've been using it almost exclusively for a month (my 24" iMac is getting a bit dusty), and it's been fantastic. I had a rev1 BlackBook myself beforehand, and this machine's a lot more capable. I don't know if it's just the RAM, or the extra graphical power (unlikely), but it's been a dream. Also, it weighs four fifths of what the BlackBook did, so it's a lot easier on my shoulder. Those cracks on your Black MacBook, by the way - Apple will fix those out of warranty if you ask nicely at a genius bar. I had my case (the bezel around the screen and the whole keyboard/wrist rest assembly) replaced just before I bought my new MacBook, to increase the resale value. Took 3 days and cost nothing. I recommend you do the same. -Antonio. antoniolulic.com _______________________________________________ OSX-Nutters mailing list | [email protected] http://lists.tit-wank.com/mailman/listinfo/osx-nutters List hosted at http://cat5.org/
