In that sense I guess I'm a small 'l' liberal or as I usually say. A conservative, not a Republican. Today there is very little left of the Republican party that I can agree with, but I disagree with the "tax payer looting scheme" of the current Democratic party even more. At some point they will run out of other peoples money to spend and I have no idea what will happen then but it won't be pretty. Also, like you, I can't get behind the social conservatives either and I see the religious right as just plain nuts. Add to that, that we don't seem to have any fiscal conservatives that don't fail the "religious nut-job" test, and I find myself without a political home at the moment. As a friend of mine put bluntly. The only difference between liberals and conservatives is what part of the Constitution they're willing to piss on. =c= BTW: The Reagan quote was said that when he left the Democratic party to become a Republican not the other way around. and I do feel like the Republican party left me. _______________________________________________ OSX-Nutters mailing list | [email protected] http://lists.tit-wank.com/mailman/listinfo/osx-nutters List hosted at http://cat5.org/
