His accusation was that Crossfire was hurting America by being part of politicians' and corporations' plans. The guy in the bow tie counters the accusation by saying, well, look, here's one good thing we do, we ask pointed questions. At which point Jon asks for an example of such a question, and then proceeds to explain why actually it wasn't a truly pointed question, why it didn't help the people's understanding of the issues, and actually it merely played into the desires of the politi... oh heck wait he didn't say that at all. No no no Jon goes on an evasive tangent claiming that the bow tie guy just said that Jon has a "responsibility" to ask hard questions. Bow tie interjects, "no.. here's the point", "no.. an opportunity", and so on. But Jon is fixed on his straw man, and doesn't allow bow tie man to make the point about what he was really asking. Bear in mind Jon started out asking these two guys "why do we have to fight?", and yet he himself is fighting and evading an open discussion. Now if you say "no one else will", that this guy is the best that you have.... then yeah your media is fucked. ;-) Stefano _______________________________________________ OSX-Nutters mailing list | [email protected] http://lists.tit-wank.com/mailman/listinfo/osx-nutters List hosted at http://cat5.org/
