Yes I had this upgrade problem with another otb package but I am sure that 
it's the same problem for you (but probably not the bug that I report).

To solve this upgrade problem I do that:
sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/
libotb-apps_5.2.0+dfsg-1~trusty1_amd64.deb

just change the deb package by yours like:
sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/
otb-testdriver_5.2.0+dfsg-1~trusty1_amd64.deb

and for information, even if I am not sure I had the same problem (or 
similar) when otb migrate from 4.2 to 5.
