Just a few cents worth of comments:

re: Sadie's email: there has already been a study done and published about
decrease of nursing home and hospital admits of persons who have home care
aid or health care providers in the home part of the time or checking up on
them. I cannot put my hands on the resources right now but I am sure if you
do a lit search you will find them. There was a lot of research done
several years ago to prove to insurance companies that they should cover
these type of visits (for a variety of ages and dx) instead of longer
hospital or nursing home stays.

Also: re: grip strength research: I think it would be interesting to look
at how people use their hands and grip strength and endurance and not just
dominance. Many people use their right hand and arm for everything, and
others use the dom. right hand for fine motor tasks and the left for
carrying and holding. I wonder what the difference in these 2 groups are.
