Hi,
I work in a very busy acute setting, hospital, with a large geriatric population. One of the very often used standardized assessment here by occupational therapists is MMSE (Folstein). In fact many of the staff recognize assessment of cognition by MMSE as a primary area of expertise -- it is quick, but unfortunately not very task-specific. We also use another test called Cognitive Competency Test, which I believe is standardized. This test is a little bit more task specific and tackles a variety of occpational performance areas. I wonder if anyone else uses other cognitive tests in an acute setting that may be appropriate to the needs and pace of the settings, I like to hear about them! :) hope this helps, Naz On Thu, 18 Oct 2001 [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > What are some the assessments used in the acute settings that people are > using today?
