Happy Occupational Therapy month! I hope everyone is taking this month as an extra opportunity to market OT! I am having an "OT Carnival" at my workplace for the nursing staff. I am planning on several game stations with prizes for winners (balloon squeeze balls). Some of my ideas are duck hunt with one lucky duck to be found using a reacher; Competition for the strongest grip strength; sock aid race.. who can donn their shoes and socks the fastest, and an ice sundae shop where the staff has to make a sundae with a mock physical impairment ... blinded folded for decreased vision, glasses with Vaseline for blurred vision, thick gloves for decreased sensation, arm sling for use of one hand not the dominant side etc. Does anyone have any other ideas or doing something creative for OT month???
