Hey Jimmie:

You and I see eye-to-eye on this topic. The problem, seems to exist in
all OT lists that I am a member. Even on the AOTA lists, there is such
little participation that it isn't even funny. For example, in August of
2004, AOTA started a new listserve called "TalkAOTA". TAlkAOTA
"facilitates discussions between AOTA members and their elected
representatives in the Representative Assembly". Each state has its own
list. Out of all the states, Florida has the second highest number of
messages. To show how bad things are, Florida's listserve has a total of
11 messages!!!!! Leading the pack is Michigan, with a total of 14
messages. Keep in mind that this is the total number of messages posted
in almost 6 months!!

I think many reasons exist as to why there seems to be a lack of OT
participation. But the bottom line is that ALL of us are losing out by a
lack of participation.

Ron

JA> Hello:

JA> I was going to wait on this message, but I am an impatient soul.

JA> Toady, we reached our 99th member!

JA> This is phenomenal growth, considering that the OTlist started a couple
JA> of weeks ago with just 30-some members.

JA> So far, the safety features of the list are working perfect! Of course
JA> as the list grows, so will our vulnerability to virus attacks.

JA> As usual, I want to encourage everyone to "advertise" the list. You can
JA> direct people to www.otnow.com for the most up to date information.

JA> Also, don't forget about the OTboard at www.otnow.com/otbb There are
JA> still messages being posted their.

JA> Finally, remember that when you post or reply to a message on the
JA> OTlist, it is going to all readers AND (this is a big AND), it is posted
JA> on the Mail-Archive for ANYONE to read! If you haven't visited the
JA> Mail-Archive, take a minute to do so. It's a great resource!!

JA> That's it for now!!

JA> Thanks,

JA> Ron
