Yes... I am guilty of hiding in the dark corner of my space in cyberland, gleaming much information and many great links that others have contributed. Many times I don't participate due to not having enough info to answer the questions or because it's something that others have already responded to. But to be honest, many times it's just because of my problem with procrastination - which is a struggle I continue to have in writing progress notes and updates!
There have been a few times in the previous OTlist that I added comments, and once asked for help on information ~ I was answered, with many contacts for placing an involved student in a new town- to which I am very grateful. So, I must say thanks Jimmie, for the "wake up" call - and thank-you to all who do spend the extra time needed to participate - Maybe all of us in the corners can try to be a just bit more involved ..... ----- Original Message ----- " Maybe some of the lurkers (the definition of a lurker is someone that views the discussion but does not participate in the same) could explain the reluctance to participate. I suppose though, that if one is a lurker, you may not be predisposed to answering such a question. I struggle with why this type of format doesn't work with OT. I have seen other lists, for other disciplines, which flourish (one in particular that is geared toward PTs, but focuses on management issues averages between 10 to 20 posts per day). Believe me, I'm not attempting to hurt feelings or overtly criticize anyone. I'm just interested in continuation of what I feel is a much needed medium for dialogue between OT professionals.
