Oxford English Dictionary has pages of definitions of occupation and its
derivatives.  I define occupation as follows:

Occupying mind and/or body
Occupying time and space
Engaging in occupation (work/play/leisure and self care)  

That kind of covers it.

Saying  that  occupation  is anything that occupies your time may not be
the  best way to define occupation! Occupation is much more complex than
'anything that occupies your time'. Granted, what you wrote is easier to
say, but in my opinion it is not correct.
