Hi there, I was under the impression (it may be wrong however) that it is the choice and discretion of the professional involved to decide on the value of treatment being offered and if you wish to charge a specific party less it is no ones business but yours... Or that's my feeling anyway (says the person not working in private practise) Veronica

The wife anticipates that nursing will soon be d/c'ing the patient as well. She wants to pay me cash until the patient is d/c'd from home health at which time, I will re-eval the patient, do a new plan of care and begin billing Medicare. My question is this. Can I legally and ethically bill the patient for less than what I would bill Medicare? -- Ron Carson MHS, OTR/L Owner, HOPE Therapy Services -- Unsubscribe?
