Happy Easter to everyone,I, too, am sorely disappointed with AOTA's unrealistic presentation of the profession. I am in LTC with big productivity requirements and mounds of paperwork. It is hard to explain to patients how we are different from PT as most of my fellow OTs don't practice occupational based therapy. Last time I voiced these opinions i was soundly critized by AOTA supporters. Most therapists I know have not renewed their membership and for the first time in the 9 years I have been practicing neither did I. OT Practice magazine is not worth $225.
