I, too, would have to agree. As a skilled therapist, is it not our job to
instruct a patient in performance of mobility or ADLs while attempting to
maintain an adequate oxygen saturation level? If the patient is not using a
PROPER BREATHING TECHNIQUE with activity, then should we not instruct them
in diaphragmatic or pursed-lip breathing techniques? This may not always be
appropriate. As a skilled therapist, we should be able to review the
chart/labs with correlation of findings and determine if and what type of
activity is appropriate for a patient

need eliminate the ADL language from expanding PT practice acts.
