I don't ever do any kind of manipulation when treating a neck patient.
Mostly I have them do stretching and strengthening (resistive
and/or isometric) exercises.  We also use relaxation techniques (including
biofeedback) and use heat or cold if indicated.  I also use e-stim.

I am kind of surprised that no one had anything to say about the quote
from the PT that I posted...  I can't imagine any reason why an OT can't
treat the spine.  I am looking forward to receiving a response from the
medicare intermediary so I can have something to show him.
