Hello Becky,

When I did my clinicals, I already knew my interests. I knew that I
wanted to work with adults and not children. The clinicals confirmed my
feelings so I guess they did help me figure out where I wanted to
specialize, sort of.

Subj: [OTlist] Question on placements

BH> I have been thinking to my placements.

BH> I have had two great placements with a friendly team and a supportive
BH> educator and then I had a negative placement where I lost alot of
BH> confidence.

BH> I was wondering about everyone's experience with placements - How much did
BH> your placements help you decide where you wanted to specialise? And having a
BH> negative experience in a placement did it put you off working in a specific
BH> field?

BH> Thanks
BH> Becky :-)
