Hi Ron, hi group! I would definitely train level transfers first, but I guess the problem is that the power chair is high, so the bed would have to be so high that her feet wouldn't be properly supported on the ground when bed side sitting?
I guess this is why I've yet to find any transfer videos from power chairs:-( I know of high quads doing assisted pivot transfers from power chairs - they use something under their feet - footstool or turntable - but that's one more thing to keep track of, to interfere with her independence.... Would it be possible to raise the bed temporary, just for checking - without too much hassle? I did find a video of a paraplegic guy transferring onto a tub chair. Hope this video format works for you too, Ron: http://s98.photobucket.com/albums/l265/paralies/?action=view¤t=Transfer_2_Shower.flv (Let me know if you can watch it - I have more from the same site). I'm exited about the big interest for the video links. I wonder - would it be an idea to make a video links section at, say: http://www.otnow.com/resources/ ? susanne Ron Carson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Thanks for ALL the feedback. > > I think I've been moving in the wrong direction.
