Hi Paul How old are they? I did a learning disabilities placement where they had a independent living group. Each week they did a different activity to help them learn about different ways of living independently - for example they did shopping, cooking, learning how to use a laundrette, what to do if an appliance broke down etc
I don't know if any of these gives you other ideas of what you can do? If you can use these as transferable skills in other areas? You can do team games. I remember something that I did at school where the teacher would shout out that someone with a blue jumper or red sock in each team would have to run to them and the first who gets to the teacher gets a point etc. You can look at this as working in teams, you can think of variety of ideas to get them to run to you to assess their coordination, colour knowledge, word and number knowledge if thats the area that needs to be addressed or developed? Not sure if any of this helps!
