You may want to think about splitting them up as a 17 year old may have 
different hobbies to someone who is 78

Thats a point why not ask them what they would like to do?

Whilst I was there I went to two social events that clients from the 
learning disabilities team organised themselves. The OT's go along as 
chaperones and give a list of activities and social outings the group want 
to go on.

Maybe think about the same thing - think up different activites the people 
might want to do and get them to vote on it.

Not sure what I have on the computer, but I'll email you privately with what 
the independent living group did.
