Ron,
As a relatively new grad I have to say the most important thing my
instructors did was to cultivate my resourcefulness! They repeatedly
challenged us to assignments that made us research and find alternative
methods for treatment. When you go to work you quickly realize that there is
no way your instructor can prepare you for everything you will see, but by
being challenged in that way I felt more able to handle things as they came
up.
Does that help at all? I hope so!
Sincerely,
Beth (COTA/L in IL)

Subject: [OTlist] Intro To OT: Assignments?
Hello All:
I'm teaching an "Intro to OT" course at a local OTA program. I would
like to develop some really good practical experiences for the students.
What suggestions do you have?
Thanks,
Ron
