Hi Boffa Is the battery flat? test it by opening the top of the box (lift up from the back, upwards). the battery is easily visible. you need not remove it, just apply a voltmeter. should be 3.6 volts.
if no voltmeter, remove cover over battery, dont break the ends off. remove battery and take to someone w a voltmeter. New batteries cost me less tha $10 so, if it is the battery, dont pay too much more. Shops charge up to $40 for them. (incl gst!!) Subject: LC 475 on last legs....
